 Subject: 04 4.7 Leaking Oil

It has started dripping on the driveway. A half dollar sized spot every time I park.
Taking it in to the dealer on Thursday morning for a check up.
Any advice, or common causes?

Have you looked under your truck yet? Would be kinda sill if the only thing was is the bolt on your oil pan got loose somehow and has a very tiny leak. But if they'll just look at it for free and not try to rip you off some how have at it.

Make sure you check your oil filter. If it is a cheapo brand it may not be sealing correctly or, in Fram's case, too much pressure has built up and blown through the seal.

Or, could be like mine was - leaking pan gasket @ 24,000 miles. Fixed under warranty.

4.7 has a oil pan gasket? I thought Dodge used sealant there.
