Subject: More tranny Q's??? IP: Logged
Message: Ok, I need some more help guys! You guys have been so helpful in the past, I'm hoping you can give me some more info. I need to know if there is anyone out there who has, or has heard of anyone running a Keisler tranny in front of a t-case for a 4x4 model??? I'm building up a 360 to go in my Dak, and I am shooting for over 350ft/lbs torque and I know my NV3500 with snap like a matchstick behind that much torque and I need to know what my options are!!! What am I to do, I have emailed Keisler, but got no response. The guys at KRC say they aren't making a kit anymore so they're out. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Message: I think you are underestimating the nv3500, my 95 runs 12.70's with an 8-3/4 with a detriot locker on 315/35/17 drag radials the trans has being bashed since 95. Only thing I can kill is clutches.

Message: The 8 3/4 rear came on alot of daks, even in 2001, and probably beyond that.
My 01, 4.7, QC was ordered with Trailer towing pack, Tire and handling, etc.
It has the 9.25, and came with 11inch rear drums.

Message: The 8 3/4 was out of production long before the Dakota was introduced Tex. Perhaps you meant the 8 1/4?
