my truck was flooding out and every thing misssing and back firing we did a tune up and put a coil in before the coil chcked out and every thing rotor button and pickup looked fine and were were they were supposed to be.so i started replacing sensors and i ended up replacing the computer. after i replaced about every thing that could make it do any off those things. about 700$ later. i pulled off the distributer cap once i lost ignition complely
i checked under the distributer cap again and the rivet came loos on top off the rotor buton.
cant believe i over looked it i should have gone back and vividly looked over the stuff i just messed with. 700$ for a 1.60 part

that sucks,
but you could of took it to a dealer and really got it,because they would of bled it for all its worth

Ah, the lessons we learn the hard way.
If you make a change and suddenly things don't work right, 99.9% of the time it's something you did wrong while you're making the change. In this case, it was bad part (the other .1%).
