Message: i'm not very good with automatic transmissions but i need to know if anyone can help me with this. my 92 318mag seems to shift throu the gears until it gets to overdrive. it seems to slip out and the tourque converter seems to keep unlocking aswell. i've heard before that there is a solenoid that controls these. can anyone tell me the replacement part number(s) or where i could find it. i'm gonna change the fluid and filter so i figured i would be able to change this at the same time, or is that possible? thanks for any help

Message: yes there is a torque converter clutch solenoid that stops fluid pressure from entering in front of the clutch, causing the clutch to lock the impellar and turbine in a 1 to 1 ratio. the clutch slipping alone will make it feel like it is slipping out of gear. the 1 2 and 3 shift solenoids are all in an external solenoid pack on the side of the tranny, but im not sure if the TCC solenoid is also located in the pack or in the valve body.
