Message: Here's how to tell:
1. Know the difference between a shock and a strut.
2. Looky in your fenderwell just inboard your tires.
3. Find a shock absorber there.
3. NO STRUTS ON A 4x4 DAKOTA !!
(now the front suspension is as strong as the Tacoma's)

Message: as far as i'm aware there are no struts on any pick ups. most trucks have coil springs and shocks in the front end now, i've never heard of a strut capable of handling any kind of weight such as a truck.
