Message: Take a look to the back right of your big black plastic air cover..
You'll see 3 or 4 wires jacked into pins... it's around there somewhere...

Message:
The PCV valve is attached to that cone-shaped oil filler housing. It's tucked up under some hoses on the side of the housing that's toward the fender. Those are heater hoses, so if you just drove around, they're gonna be hot.
Access to remove or replace the PCV valve appears not to have been a consideration by Dodge designers.

Message: I'm having a hard time just finding one in stores. Autozone and Advance Autoparts say they don't exist. I take them out to my truck and point right at it and they are dumbfounded. It may be something I have to get directly from a dealer I assume?

Message: jpkomm - A Couple things you can do is check online, it'll list the part number the store can look up. Or check the filter catalog. It's over near the oil/air filters. The stores near me have one that lists the air filters, gas filters, pcv, oil filter all in 1 catalog.

Message: Well, at Autozone I found a part number in the catalog, but it isn't in their system. At Advance Autoparts, it doesn't even list one in their catalog (N/A). Sooo Not sure what is up there. I don't *need* one at the moment, but just was going to get one for a rainy day. Eh, no biggie. I'll just keep looking.

zzark, mine is a 2000. From where you looked, are the part numbers the same?

Message: I just replaced the PCV on my 2003 Dak. Got it at Auto zone (had to have it looked up on their computer for number). Right front side of the engine. Turn counter clockwise 90 degress and pull out. The solid pipe goes to the back of the engine is a pain so be carefull not to break it when futzing with the PCV.

Message: I`ve heard nothing but bad things about after market PCV`s. Most are not spec`d right for vacum, leak, and cause rough idle issues.
This is one item you should get at the dealer only.

Message: The dealers pvc valves are no different than your local auto supply store.
The advice on this board I would not take as a fact!
