I believe it is a leak in the evap system. Your gas cap may need to be replaced or you may want to check the hoses going to the evap canister (located just rear of the drivers seat under truck). If they are loose or cracked, trim a little off of each and replace. I even put hose clamps on after doing above. After you have done this stuff, take off your negative battery terminal and turn the ignition on and off three times. You should get a code in the odometer window saying 'P-done'. Reattach battery terminal and start truck. Hopefully no codes. This is not a guaranteed fix, but is a cheap and easy place to start. I got a locking gas cap from dealership for $15.
