Message: Replace: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, clean TB, change oil, change transmission fluid to ATF+4, change diff. oil, change power steering fluid, check battery. I use a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer in every oil change( keeps oil pressure up)and use Lube Guard ATF friction modifier in trans everytime i have it changed. if you have 4x4 change front diff. oil and transfer case. should run like new after this if nothing else is wrong. have an alignment done and balance and rotate tires too.

Message: Do all that lucas said, as far as the stall check the IAC valve. It's about 50 to 60 dollars to replace. The Haynes book gives you info for checking and replacement. Also you might want to invest in a new fuel pump and injectors. These thing cost more but if you plan on kepping the truck for a while spend the money now or you'll spend it latter but pay much more at some far away repair station by earl who'll charge you an arm and a leg to get you home.

Message: Ok.. 92 is what I have. I have put hours into reading these forums.. and in the last two posts prior to this one.. let me give you some advice. Check for slop in the distributor, if it moves side to side at all... replace it. Look inside the intake throught the butterfly's adn see if there is oil in there.. IF there is you need to replace your intake manifold gaskets. Next, take off the distributor cap, and turn the crank (or have a buddy do it) and look to see how far you have to turn the crank to get the rotor to turn. If it is excessive then you need to replace the timing gear, if you do this, my suggestion is to replace the water pump at the same time.. oh and use a double roller timing chain if you can afford it.
