Subject: squeaky bushings... IP: Logged
Message: I had the bushings replaced on my '01 quad cab last year and they are squeaking already. What product should I use to stop the squeaking and how often are you supposed to grease them?
I love my truck but when I go over bumps it sounds like an old Ford...

i would think you would have to try and get some grease in there, not sure if there is a easy way or a tool. lol you dont want it to sound like a ford!

Message: 2001 QC 4X4 I had my neighbour (mechanic) put some copper colored grease on the four sway bar bushings about 2 months ago. It worked right away, now its squeeking again. Does anyone know where I can get something other than the rubber bushings that came stock. Lots of web sites in the States for auto parts. I live in British Columbia, Canada and am not aware of any good auto part web sites.

Message: An aluminum based grease that resists washout(marine grease for example)works longest. In the end greasing them is just something you have to do when they get noisy. Greasable bushings with zerks would be best, but no one makes them for 00-04 Dakotas as far as I know.
