P0305 = Cylinder no. 5 misfire detected.. You might have a loose plug wire, or just need a tune-up..

HEY THANKS!
in march of 2005 i had the intake gasket replaced no codes since then....while it was leaking i was getting numerous p0201,02,03,etc.hvent seen them since they replaced intake gasket.i hope this isnt related to this thing again.
i am gonna check wire and plug soon...can i still drive it?

if it runs fine, there shouldn't be any harm in driving it.. I'm no mechanic though.

There is no problem driving it while you have a misfire. At the end of my engine swap I had forgotten to tighten up 1 radiator hose and it blew apart all over the engine.
Started misfiring and I checked the #5 wire and it was burned through from antifreeze/heat. You'll be fine driving but your gas mileage may go down and you should hear it misfiring if you have exhaust.
Easy fix, change the wire/plug.

WELL checked plug wire and injector ,,,all seemed tight...gonna pull plug out tommorrow and see whats up....hope it a easy fix.

pulled plug out...looked a bit moist...switched it with plug 7...hasnt thrown another code yet...still sputters around 45 in o/d but not nearly as bad.
would bad gas do this?
it seems to be getting better but still has that funky smell from tailpipe.

HELLO AGAIN,
well....truck just popped another p0305 code....so i switched plug wire 5 with 7 and gonna erase codes and see if it throws it for cylinder 7.
any other thoughts?
