Does anybody know if they make an electric radiator fan for a 1996 dakota 5.2L... I am getting sick and tired of these stinking fan clutches never disengaging. Ive gone through 3 diffrent ones and each one is the same. I mean you think a fan clutch would disengage after a few miles but noooo... Everywhere I go I gotta listen to this stupid loud ass fan everywhere I go.. Kinda does the nice 3 inch CAT Back exaust I have a disservice... Plus I hate having to yell over that damn fan all the time too. Can sombody help me out?

flexalite

gety either the black magic 150, or black magic extreme 180.

They are universal mount.

I have the 150 on my 5.2. I would have bought the 180, but they didn't have it way back when i bought mine.

There are plenty of fans available that may work for you. Proper selection depends on a lot of facters. Auto vs. manual. Ottowa vs. Phoenix. Heavy duty hauler vs. winter commuter. Electronic genius vs. me.

Pick up a copy of Stret Rodder magazine. Lots of advertisers there with lots of choices. Single and dual stage, single and dual fans, with and without shroud, electronic smart controls and on-off switches. Pick your poison.

just installed a flex a lite, and improved fuel economy by at least 1.5 mpg. the old fan was locked up (more constant drag) and addition causing it to run 15 degrees cooler (not as efficient combustion). i used the stock 4 cylinder radiator fan relay location to wire mine through, worked awesome...

.boB is correct. Tried a flex a lite 180 extreme on my 98 5.2 here in Phoenix area & found it not even close to being adequate.
