anybody know weather or not a 1993 the A-518 has a lock up torque converter I read some where that 93 and older 518's don't have lock up torque converters

My 93 has a lockup in it. Hope that helped.

A518's were non-lockup the first couple years, meaning 1990-91.

read on the gear vendors site that 93 and earlier A-518s weren't lock up, only the A-618 was

And the Gear Vendors site would be wrong.
A-518 went to lockup in 1992. The A-618 is a heavier version of the A-518, and first appeared in 1994.
