Message: Hi everyone ,new here. This forum has alot of good info. My problem is,I have a Mallory 6Al I am trying to install in my 99 dodge Dakota 5.2l auto 4x4. I have a wire diagram and I know where all but two wires hookup. They are the green and purple wires that are suppose to go to the magnetic pickup. I take that as they should go to the dist. If so there's not enough room for a splice or I cant find a harness . Also the diagram does not say which wires to hookup too.
Thanks

Message: I don't think the the green and purple wires are used they are only used if you are using a flying crank trigger or a magnetic pick up on the distributer. which you are using the white wire for the trigger you don't need the green and purple wires. they won't hook up to anything but there is something there you can turn it into a ignition cut off(it should be in the instructions but if it's not go to summit site then go to the 6al msd page then click on the pdf instructions it's very easy read.
