My 1995 4x4 Auto x-cab 3.9L Dakota has 130,000. Same transmission and engine it left with new. Engine is losing power (not that it had a lot to begin with) but still runs great. I'd bet the truck has another 70,000 miles left on it for sure. Trans prob wont last that long tho.

2000 4.7 with 68k, my Grandpa had a D150 Prospector with a 318. He racked up 432k on the original engine. only changed the oil, pluggs, and a timimg chain.

'97 4x4 5.2 /140k+ tranny went out around 100k with the new fms injectors and a little carbon removal by filling the cylnders up with top engine cleaner and soaking overnight she runs better than new

'91 Dakota LE ClubCab -5.2L 92k miles (had PCM problems, 1/2 model year, a pre-magnum LA-318 engine).
'95 Dakota SLT Clubcab -5.2L 145k miles (rear end bearings replaced a 65k mi, 5spd rebuilt at 125k, syncro/clutch-- roof paint peel at 140k)-- was a mustang killer- Sold to a guy in AZ via Ebay. He's gonna go through the entire thing!!! I miss that truck!
'99 RT Dakota Regular Cab - 5.9L 19k miles- no problems, bought back by DC due to towing issue-- Now owned by a friend in AZ and it's had a few issues (paint, tranny buzz, A-arm bushing, brakes)
'99 RT Dakota Club Cab - 5.9L 19k miles- no problems, bought back by DC due to towing issue-- No owned by another ZONER, not sure where.
'99 Dakota Club Cab Sport - 5.2L 56k miles- U-joint failure at 54k miles
'00 RT Dakota Club Cab - 5.9L 58.5k miles- transmission failure at 56k miles (2nd gear band/drum wasted)-- puts 256hp to the rear wheels.
'71 Plymouth Satellite Brougham - 6.6L 99.5k miles- engine rebuilt at 99k miles due to deteriorating freeze plugs, valve job. Soon to be my daily driver.
'72 Plymouth Satellite Special -5.2L 149k miles- new longblock @ 100k, Crower Cam, Edlebrock intake/carb, dual exhaust.. Oh yeah, and it's a Stationwagon!!! Brady bunch look alike!
I've owned a '72 Dart Swinger and a '69 Kaiser Jeep briefly, and my wife had a '84 Dodge 600 for a time-- Guess it's Mopar or NOCAR for us!

'89 V6 auto w/ o/d FI, had 288,000km when I was done with it and is still going. That's 178,900 miles.
Besides brakes, tires and oil, one tranny and one timing chain. Tranny lost 1st and 2nd gear one night.

My '86 Toyota had 180,000 miles on the original 22R engine when it was stolen and stripped to the bone a few years ago. It had 130,000 when I bought it, and the other 50,000 were sheer torture on that machine - I ran a lot of harsh off-road trails, high rpm highway runs (4.56 gears plus 33" AT's meant 75mph was revvin!), and general stuntman-like mayhem. Never had a problem with the drivetrain and I towed a LOT of jeeps/chevys/fords/nissans out of the muck.

cause its an auto. Only major thing that
has happend is head gasket and others
had to be replaced.

my frist truck was 90 ford f150 it truned 200,000 to weeks befor 2000. A week later she trashed by a trash truck.never did anything to it. just chaned oil and put gas in her. i did get a new ford after that but also was broke down and now i have a 2000 4.7 4x4 w/ 48,000 miles

My 93 had 215000 when I swapped engines. The onlky reason I swapped engines was because I couldn't find any heads for sale in my area and a newer engine would have been quicker and cheaper than rebuilding the original heads (timing chain was thrown and bent the valve train)

Its not a truck but, my dads 92 Mustang 5.0 5 speed(Bone stock) has 270,000 miles only thing thats been changed is the clutch... Once! and yes I did say 270K. That is miles too.
No smoke, No rust, was quicker than my R/T when my R/T just had the PCM just to give you an idea of how great a shape its in.

I've got the same truck with 189000 miles ONE engine, and ONE trans!!! Everything is orig but the starter,tires and fog lights!!!! The truck is in VERY GOOD condition, and there is no rust on it at all! I'm also selling it. Got to get a bigger truck, expecting another kid. Anybody wants it let me know.716-337-3669

I work with a guy that has 300,000 on his 96 Dak with V6 and his brother has over 300,000 on his V6 Dak. One burns alot of oil the other one does not burn a drop the one that burns oil was bought used off a farmer.Both Dak's have their original engine and transmissions with no overhauls. I have personaly seen 1000's of Toyota's and BMW's go well past 200,000.

I have a 97, 4x4, 5.2L 5sp, 122,000 miles!!! Not too impresive but if you consider about half of those miles are hauling a 5th wheel, 4-horse horse trailer and other than replacing the chain in the transfer case she runs like she's brand new!!!! shes got a Good sound engine, thinking it will go another 100K!!! Well, hoping it will go another 100K!!!
