hey guys my truck 94 4x4 recently started acting weird turns out it has something to do with the fuel pump i switched out the relay and it still didnt work but if you kick it and crank it at the same time it starts does my pump have a dead spot... i thought if the pump was dead it wouldnt work at all oh and if i turn it off then back on really fast it will start but if i wait maby 30 seconds it wont any sugestions befor i buy a new pump????

pumps can get a bad spot in them. usually its the brush contacts inside. if you can get it where it will not start at all, and use a soft face hammer to jar the tank a little bit by hitting the tank, and it starts...then MOST likely a bad pump
