Subject: Power Seats IP: Logged
Message: I have an 02 Dakota QC 4x4, 4.7, auto with the power drivers seat. The one button on the seat quit working it is the one that is closest to the front of the truck. The one that makes the front of the seat tilt up or down. I have checked all the wires and connections and all seem to be working. The other two buttons work fine. Does anyone have any Ideas to what could be wrong. Is it possibly a bad switch? If so how do I test it?
Thanks In Advanced

Message: If you can trace the failing switch to a connector under the seat, disconnect it and put an ohm meter across the two pins then activate the switch. If it's a meter with a needle, it should deflect to one side of the dial. If it's a digital meter, it should read close to zero(0) ohms (Autozone may have multimeters they will loan out) Let us know how you make out. Good luck!
