Message: I bought the motor yesterday for 350 bucks. Not sure if it runs and not sure what it came out of. The guy that I bought it from had it in his shed for 10 years. I relly dont care if it runs or not. But I am going to do about a 5 year build up on this motor then sell it or drop it in my r/t (Depending on how far I get on the 360 by tha time) Did I get a good deal?

Message: I gave one of them away a few years ago. Had removed it myself from a dodge. not recalling the exact year but I do know they was over rated and a real gas haug. The hemi engine didn't glow till the crysler 300B came out. Speedo registered 150 as I recall and it would walk the dog if you had the guts to do it. No freeways in this state at that time. you could shake hands with the car coming towards you.

The 300B was a 354 hemi, the 392 came out in '57, the 300C had a two 4-barrel setup with the carbs sitting out over the valve covers. Could either get 375 or 390 HP version(solid cam, stick only). Could even get a 6.17 rear ratio! I bought a '60 plymouth wagon with a 392 in it for 60$ in '75. Was just as fast fully loaded with beer as it was empty.
