I have been fighting this parasitic drain for months now. My battery keeps going dead. Sometimes it is over night other times it will go weeks with no problems. I have traced my draw down to the interior lighting fuse from under the hood. The problem is so spuratic though that when I start to test individual components it quits draining........this is driving me nucking futz.

It's your radio that is drawing the constant current from that fuze. I would suggest that you try replacing your battery if you havent already or checking any aftermarket audio/video equipment you may have installed.

Got an underhood light ? They're notorious for causing that.

no under hood light on this truck, I pulled the bulb to the globe box and pulled the fuse to the stock radio. and it still drains. I do have the infinity sound system, is it possible the amp isn't shutting off?

your PCM goes into hybernation after so many minutes with the key out of the ignition. (thats why it quits draining sometimes when you are testing it.) It sounds like you only have a problem with parasitic drain part of the time. this might be a long shot, but sometimes your brake pedal can drop slightly overnight from the brake fluid cooling and contracting in the master cylinder, and it might be turning your brake light switch on until the battery goes flat. It has to be something that draws a lot of current by itself for your battery to go flat over night.
