93 4X4 , v-8 , got a bad vibration starting at 75mph . Checked the u-joints , visual looked ok , no play found . My question , can I remove certain things on the front , such as cv joints , and drive shaft , and still drive it ok , well , safely ? I think it would be fine but I`d like some input before I try .It would certainly be a help in pin-pointing my problem . The vibration seems to be under and behind me , its not noticable on the wheel . Leading me to think its in the tranny , back drive shaft or the rear end {rear end was rebuilt 3 yrs ago} . )-70 mph its a smooth ride , but I drive lots on the highway , passing takes me to 90 sometimes , I need this fixed .
