still need to finish the exhaust has a little leak that sounds awful. was gonna finish it when the passenger side door slammed shut on my hand - smashing my pointer and thumb!
the little cats in the Y pipe - are they important for smog or can you pass without them? GD did you notice a difference in performance after doing the Y pipe?

Yes. Loud as sin.
But still has torque to rip the tires off if i stomp it from a stop. Both tires that is.
And towed my toy hauler 65 MPH up the grade before you get to Yuma. I'd say it has torque.
But the noise level was a bit much on that long drive.
I will play with the dual flows here soon.

Message: I think the older y-pipes were terrible. So the word has been spread that they are crap.
That's the BEST y-pipe I have ever seen!
Many tee in way worse, sometimes not as a Y at all.

Message: For some reason that url you used doesn't work.
I looked at your pix you have there and didn't see a y-pipe there. I was going to try and post it. I think the html works but your url was not good for a picture.
When i tried it here, I got the red x too.

Message: Hey Caulk04 I have a question. Where did you get the decal that's on your tailgate....the one with the flames coming off the Ram head logo? That looks tight! Nice truck also! Good job! Thanks in advance for any response.

Message: I got that at the Canfield, OH fairgrounds I think. Been hoping to see the guy there again so I can pick up a couple extra ones and see if he has a website.
Thanks for the comments, have had quite a few people comment on that decal and the R/W/B Ram head on the back window. The Ram head is from a local vinyl guy, actually having one made for someone online right now.

If this doesn't work I give up!!!!
I'm hopefully going to the shop to get an estimate on getting a cutout welded in right behind my cat. It should sound pretty good

I'm not sure what we are looking at. I thought you had a picture of your y-pipe but that seems to be hidden from view :p
I guess I can pimp my video again. One of my all time best I think :)
Video of new exhaust sound. Ripping the tires, etc...

Message: Thanks for the help with the picture Graphite! I'm used to the HTML code of vBullitin.
That rusty old crappy pipe near the middle of the pic is the y-pipe.
I saw your videos of the new exhaust you have and I can definately say very good work! I bet it sounds even better in person. I will be getting the cutout real soon from Summit.
Good luck with the Duster project! I'm sure you will be one of the first people to drop in a 4.7!

Message: Actually after listening to a couple trucks w/ no tailpipe I really like the look of no pipe behind the tire and I like the different sound they make. I might take a saw to my tailpipe over the axel and see how that sounds before I have the cutout welded in. I'll probably still get the cutout later.

Message: Just remember how LOUD it gets in a cab when you cut off the tail pipe.
If it's going to be a problem on trips I'd get a Y-Gate or whatever so you can open it on demand and close it back to the tail pipe when needed.
