I can't tell you how much better it will sound, but it will flow better and its just so much better to do true duals.

If you do true duals, be SURE to use an x-pipe. You'll really be happy with the sound...

Mike. in the EASIEST was to explain the difference.

Is like going from a AM mono radio, to a STEREO one :)

The only thing I didn't do was an X pipe.
Never used one before, so I didn't now. Maybe some day I'll do one to TEST it myself.
But some guys I know tried them and said it didn't make any difference to them.

I took one for the team and ran 2 1/2" true duals.

Seems to STILL have the bottom end grunt that spins my LSD rear and pull my 7,000 Lb trailer just fine! It may be a tad TOO loud with the glass packs as far as long distance towing goes. But driving in town, I absolutely LOVE it. It is damn LOUD when you open the throttle. Yet idles gracefully :)

Depends on what caliber or bore your gun is that you use in the "duel".

If, however, you mean "dual", then that's a whole other ball of wax.

If sound is all your lookin for I'm sure there are more than a few web sites to check out that will steer you in the right direction. If your lookin for power gains put the duals. Just remember if it sounds like you are making power sooner or later someone will call your bluff. I wouldn't want to be sittin at that lite with a ford or chevy beside me wanting to make a run with nothing but sound to fall back on. They'll laugh to you when and if you catch up to them.

I've been thinking about getting a true dual myself.. But was wondering what do you guys do with the O2 sensor..
I have a '99 318 and there's an O2 right after the cat, so wouldn't putting it on one side mess up the reading of the comp resulting in trouble codes and a too rich air/fuel mix ??

I own a 96` dakota and just recently went with a true dual exhaust. 2 1/2 piping all the way with a duel magnaflow muffler. no cat converter either. The power gain is awsome and it sounds nice, A low rumble with lots of growl. Quiet when I want it to be, but it barks with the best of them. I went with a duel muffler, and not two singles on either side. GREAT CHOICE.
