What kind of power gains are you guys getting from the Superchips #3715 on 5.9's? I just ordered mine on Thursday and just wanted to see what to expect.

360Quadcab, you will be happy. The numbers will vary on a truck to truck basis. It really depends on how rich your stock tune is. Also you will get better MPG over time too(if you keep your foot out of it), because SC leans out your air/fuel mixture.

Advice: run a full tank of at least 91oct before applying the performance setting. If you mix 87 and 91 you may get detonation because of the extreme advance with the performance setting.

So far superchips is the best mod for the money, you can definitely feel the difference. And it takes at least 10hp/tq to feel a change on the butt dyno I think.

8Banger- I installed it the other day and am running the 87 program. I can feel a small difference. I want to run the 91 program, but only have 87,89 and 93 octane in my area. Do you think that I can get away with 89 or do I have to break the bank with 93?

Ps. I will get you the pics soon I swear!

I guess it won't hurt to try 89, but I would immediately switch it back if you hear pinging.

You could do half 89 and half 93 octane.

they are VIN locked. you couldn't install it on a second truck until it was uninstalled from the first. they can sell a lot more unnits that way. i know if it was my company that's how i'd do it.
