I am new over here, i am normally on jeep forums.
one of the biggest swap for 97-2003 Jeep Wranglers in a 5.2 or a 5.9 v8 from a ram/dakota/van/durango.
One of the most aggrevating problems i have had with my engine, and alot of other jeep owners have, is a stumble on cold start/take off.
Normally we start our engines in the morning, and when we take off the engines bog down bad, it normally only happens once, and then is gone till the next day. (we call it the TJ two step, tj being chassis code for wranglers 97-current)

I was wondering if v8s did this too. I hope its not all DC engines.
So, does anyone have this problem?
thanks
Chris

I have an 02 R/T that has the exact same problem you are describing. It only started happening with mine though after I installed a cold air intake into it. I've been told that because the computer (at least in the 00-03's) has the fuel air mixture set way to low, and that until everything warms up, it causes the stumbling and I also have a problem of back fires until the engine is warm. I've been told also that the Mopar performance flash will resolve this, but it's also not available for my year. Also a superchip might fix also. If anyone else has any ideas or anything, I'm game to get any ideas because this is an annoyance for me also.
