I didn't get that in mine, but wish it did have that. One of the ONLY options I didn't get was that overhead thingie. It's in my 2004 Grand Caravan though.
There is nothing to mess with in the truck. But you need two people.
On most garage door openers (the ones that LEARN codes) you have someone push a button (hidden somewhere on the opener) on the garage door opener and then someone pushes the button in the truck. At least if memory serves.
That makes the garage opener LEARN your trucks signal.
Try it out. You can probably go online for whatever make garage opener you have and get the exact instructions.
Let me know if I remembered right.
