Currently at 60K miles and under same driving conditions for all mods(Read into it what you will but this is not BS, although I must admit I was hesitant on mentioning the Tornado at all due to all the negativity I've read on this site about it)...

Stock I was gettin about 14.5mpg
Added 52mm TB/Homebrew K&N Intake/Tonneau - 15.5
Added Tornado/Upped Tire Press from 32to40 - 17mpg
Added 3923s/RAS/Upped Rear Tire Size to 30.5 with 48psi - 18mpg

Now I can reverse some of this to retest results but I figure in the case of mpg(as we speak) ... "If it ain't broke, why fix it"

Next step will be the Hypertech III ... can I hear a 19 comin on(wishful thinkin but we'll see)

Has changed very little over last 70k.

Does HO have any apparent effect on mpg? Seems like hwy numbers would go up a bit. Anyone see a change for the better when not mashing the pedal (hard not to do I'm sure)?

Highway: 15.5-16.0 at 70 MPH.
Best Ever: 17.0 at 55-60 MPH.
Mixed Driving: 13.5-14.0 50% highway and 50%
suburban/rural
Worst Ever: 12.5 in cold weather mixed driving.

All mileages are computed manually - no trip computer. I don't have a heavy foot. The truck probably only sees WOT 2-3 times per month.

Just bought my 01 4.7 SLT 5 speed auto about two weeks ago. Ran two tankfuls through it in city (Orlando) driving and came out with an average of 17.64mpg. Not bad if I do say so myself.

I'm still running stock except for K&N drop in, Acccess Tonneau and Amsoil in the tranny. Couldn't be more pleased with the mileage and performance.

Cheers
