Subject: selling IP: Logged
Message: im in dallas texas,i have a 91 black dodge dakota with 178,ooo+ miles and im thinking of selling.it needs work,front end,a ring job,(it smokes sometimes,white smoke.and it needs brakes front and back.it runs incredibly strong,im not sure how to go about selling it and shoild i spend money to fix it?any thoughts would be appreciated.

Message: im not a 100% sure on what the truck is worth in Texas but in ca you would probably only get about $2500 for it. i would keep the truck and fix the front end. if the engine still runs great like you say than just run the motor until it dies. you can try putting it for sale and since your not set on selling it you will be more firm on the price. if i put the truck for sale i would put it in for $3,500 and see if anyone calls on it. good luck with what you do!

Message: toolfan I think you're being generous.What engine? reg cab? How's the body? It's a 91 with almost 200k and needs alot of work..unless it was 5.2 and in great shape I don't think you'd ever get $2500 little lone $1000.Sorry Jenny but that's just me.

Message: Pretty much in Montana, if the truck will haul garbage and fire wood it's a 1,500 hundred dollor truck. Unless the truck looks like it's been through a war, that's about the least your going to pay for a beater. There are rare exceptions.
