Subject: Tranny Fluid in the TB? IP: Logged
Message: I saw my friend put it in his car this weekend and he said "it is a detergent and it works just like sea foam". Did my friend just f*ck up his car or does it really clean something?

Message: if his car has O2 sensors it could ruin them. maybe foul some plugs. i sure wouldn't use it as a substitute for seafoam. i does not work just like seafoam. trans fluid is also a lubricant.

Message: ATF is a type hydraulic fluid with fiction modifiers and so forth to work with the clutches in auto trannies.
I would never think of putting any in my engine. Seafoam is a great product and doesn't cost much/any more than a quart of ATF...don't risk it, do it right.
