Message: Hi I have a 93 318 auto with an A518 I just wanted to know how reliable these tranys are and how long they can go before you have to rebuild them. also whats the best trans fluid for these tranys

Message: it should last the life of the truck if serviced as the manual states. ATF+4 is the fluid you want to use.

Message: I'm aloso looking for a nice tourque converter i don't want a higher stallspeed but i want one that will transfer more power and slip less so instead of getting 180hp. to the ground i would get more like 190 or 200hp to the ground. it also must be a lock up unit and must have a stall speed below 1000rpm
also thoughts on royale purple lubricants.

Message: Torque converters are matched to your cam shaft. Know what what
kind of lift, duration, etc you have? Call JEGS or someone first.
