i was wondering if any of yall have heard of my problem before.. when i take over drive off and floor it when my truck gets to about 80mph it starts to sound like its bogging out or something like that but with OD on i can reach the speed limiter with out any problems. let me know what u think.

Not enough info.
With od off and gas pedal floored does the trans downshift to 2nd?
Does it ever shift out of 2nd?
With od off at 80mph, what is engine rpm?

it downshifts to second and then when it shifts to third and around i think 3-4grand it boggs down

Maybe it's the torque converter locking up.

i just tried it again same results the rpms dont really drop they just move real slow at around 3200 in 3rd even though im flooring it

on my 318 i have had this happen. when on the freeway at around 70mph floor it and the engine boggs at around 4k rpm. it doesnt do it often but i have had it happen i was wondering as well what makes it do that?

Sounds like 3rd gear lock-up to me. I agree with Branson.

No solution. 3rd gear lock-up is normal. The only thing that might help is tuning. (to remove lock-up actuation in 3rd gear)

TC will still lockup in 3rd (OD off) with Superchips. I personally like this, brings the RPM down just a little to the torque of the 4.7.
Now if I could only get my TC to hold the lock longer in 4th...likes to unlock with the slightest throttle input.
