Subject: idle IP: Logged
Message: i have a '00 4.7 dak auto.when i start the truck,the idle goes up to about 800 rpm end then he drop to 500 rpm when you let it run for about 5 min ,the rpm goes up and down in a range of about 2 to 3 hundreds rpm. it's really not steady any clues ????

Message: Ive had the same problem with me 03 4.7 dak and I agree with Kowalski and think its the TPS sensor. I had the problem for about 3 months until a few days ago I unluggped the tps and then just plugged it back in again. Since then the truck idles fine. So i think my TPS is going bad, i'll probably replace it when it gets warmer.

Message: I didn't have that problem, but I did have problem with the TPS. When I was going about 55 I could feel the Torque Converter Lock/Unlock/Lock. Take off the TPS and look at it. You may find little cracks in the back side.
