In the process of removing the sensors I broke the prong off the clip that connects the wires together. It is still connected. Since I cannot see the clip how does it come apart. Should or can I replace the broken clip? Will the connector come apart still?

If you try to replace the clip id say your only reasonable option is go to a junkyard and cut the clip with a couple inches of the wire on it off a junked truck. Then splice that in with your wires.

I assume you mean the locking clip. If you lost the locking clip the connector "should" stay together, but I've seen some of them work theirselves apart over time. If you don't want to get into replacing things, use a zip-tie to hold the connector together. Quick fix.

Well you guys were right, the power steering pressure switch was toast, which forced out fluid down through the O2 wiring fouling up the post cat sensor. The clip that broke was zip tied and it held for now, code P0551 and P0171 are gone and the truck seems to be back to normal

Thanks to all

Red,

I was sure this was your problem, you did seem a little uncertain. Glad you got it fixed though.
