Subject: Rear Power window inoperative IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dak Quad cab the rear power windows have stopped working .
No it is not the window lock The the right rear failed first. and just in the last month
the left rear failed I have swapped the Fuse Front 25 amp fuse with rear!
Checked Amp plug on back of Fuse block It seams secure.
Any other Ideas? The windows are not opened that often!

Message: From the Durango forums, I have learned that there are a lot of issues with D-C's power windows....combination of bad switches & dead motors. Best thing I can suggest is pull a door panel off, and check for voltage at the switch and the affected motor(s).
The driver's side rear window on my Quad Cab went "dead" about two weeks ago. When I got done running around that day, I brought it home & started looking into it. After verifying that the switches (both driver's & rear) were indeed working, I pulled the door panel, hooked up a multimeter at the motor, and had a buddy hit the driver's switch. And wouldn't you know it....the window rolled up!!! *AAARRGGHHH* Not that I'm really pissed that it worked. It's just that I went through 45 minutes worth of assembly & dis-assembly to have it start working again. Hasn't acted up again in the past 3 months.
