Message: I have looked around and so far found the cheapest Fan Clutch priced at $54.99 LLT@ AutoZone, $47.97 1Yr @ Advance Auto. Has anyone found a better deal than that?

Message: go over to www.dakota-durango.com and ask if anyone has a clutch fan they want to get rid of. I seen alot of people goto the electric fan kits and jsut have them laying around. might be able to find one there for cheap. dont know if there is a difference in the 4.7 and the 5.9 clutch fan, but a few RT has ditch the clutch. worth a try.
have you thought about an electric fan setup? and ditch the clutch fan set up?

Message: I was wandering why you would want both,
doesn't the 5.9 come with the electric anyway?
I removed the one on my 4.7 years ago, went with a 180 tstat. Someone else dynoed it around a 4-5hp gain!
In fact, I'll sell you the one for my 4.7. Well, actually, if I ever sell the truck, I'll probably reinstall it.

Message: I have been considering keeping the Fan Clutch and putting in a pusher fan in addition between the A/C Condensor and the Radiator. Just that additional insurance to keep the truck from overheating during the 100+ temps in the summertime.

Message: I would not replace a clutch fan under any circumstances, go wth an puller electric fan every time, this is a no brainer.

Message: Ok, I'm still not sold on the Electric fan, only because of the work involved changing it over, the wiring and the expense. On that note, what is the necessary Air Flow requirements for the 5.9L (360 CI) and price?
