Subject: injector questions IP: Logged
Message: the truck: 93 318 4x4 auto.
if i let my truck sit for about 6 hours(may do it with less time), it takes about 3 more seconds of cranking time to start. if i turn on the key, and let the pump build up pressure for a second or 2 before cranking, it starts right up in half a second. also, it seems like i am running in a rich condition. not too too rich, just a little bit. and it seems like it gets more power sometimes than others. ive heard the idle fluxuate a tiny bit from time to time especially when its cold. is this a possible stuck injector?

Message: Jay good question. I have a tread with the same type of situation titled "Rich Fuel" and the only comment so far stated the injector. Previously I was leaning toward check valve in the fuel pump as that is what a mechanic told me.
I am planning on getting some fuel injector cleaner and running that to see if it clears up. I tried STP fuel treatment with Mystery Oil but didn't help nor did Seafoam. I will next try the straight injector cleaner.
