I know stock on a 94 318 is .035. But has anybody had luck with changing it? I'm relatively stock right now, but I'm going to put an MSD coil and 6A box on soon enough and already have new accel cap rotor and 9000 series wires. If anyone is running a hotter ignition, what are your plug gaps sitting at, and have you had any problems with detonation if you went too large on your gaps? Thanks guys, oh and just out of curiosity, what does it cost for a membership?

If you add a high powered ignition system, you can open up the gap a bit, like to .040, or .042. But don't expect to notice a huge gain when you do.

More important then gap > You never mentioned any mods > Unless you have moded the engine a fair amont your throwing your money away > You well not be taking advantage of the value of this ignition upgrade > If your mods are in the very near future like starting on them right off I would hold off > Infact your looking at opening your gao 10 to 15 thousands with all that spark power > with no mods, it's not going to do nothing a good tuneup wouldn't do > You can believe it or you can learn it on your own > My way is much cheaper > Do it when you can actually make good use of it > My opinion only >

Follow the instructions. It will recommend different gaps for different apps.
