And answers to the first round of questions in my 1st post? I have time, I can wait.
Or do you have a clue what is in your Motor? Are you a credit card cowboy that wants to hang out with the big boys, but don't know how to do anything yourself.
Good Luck, Later.

OldFool, how long have you been working on engines? And, what does all that mean? Clay out? Quench area? Oil Journals reworked? Honestly, if you could tell me what that means. I've been trying to learn as much as I can about stuff like this so I can build my own 408. Oh, and what is the R3 block? Thanks

Message: clay out - he's referring to putting clay on top of a piston, assembling the head and valve train and rotating the crank. The valve will leave an imprint in the clay and you can check your piston to valve clearance.
Quench area - the space between the piston and the flat surface of a closed chamber head. You need to maintain a certain amount of quench, but too much, and you can get hot spots on the combustion chambers... i.e. put a set of 915 closed chamber heads on a stock deck height 400 with the piston .095 in the hole, and you'll have a knock that no camshaft or timing will be able to get rid of
oil journals - not too sure what he means by that on a small block mopar... but usually on a chevy, they over oil the rockers and you can put different kinds of restrictors in to keep most of the oil pressure on the mains. He could also mean opening up the galleys a little or fitting the block with a bigger pickup.
the R3 block is mopar's race small block.

Message: and have a nice life COWBOY. You work 12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, yet you spend most of your free time on here?
I read your post on DakotaUSA.com. You call people stupid...do you have spell check? I'm sorry, I know people say you shouldn't criticize spelling, punctuation or grammar on this website, but when someone is being as obnoxious as midnight, it can't be helped. Someone asks a question and he posts his replies with his little "lol" replies, like the questions are meaningless. He posts something on one site, then comes here and posts something that completely contradicts what he said on the first site. Seems to me somebody wants to flex their muscles when the muscles aren't fully developed, with the exception of the finger muscles for typing.
You asked where Jason went to school. Seems to me Jason actually learned something in school.
Hey N56629 - good detective work. This guy is a fraud.
If it is going to be strictly a show truck per your post on DakotaUSA.com, why are you even talking about nitrous? A 400 shot of nitrous for something that is STRICTLY show?
Midnightdak also posted ***wheres the supertruck finals and when is it...count me in. You called me a cowboy...don't ever call me a fuking cowboy***
Wow! He wants to race a truck that is being built STRICTLY for show? Nice one COWBOY!!

Seems to me he doesn't know everything. What a moron! So he told them "I don't wanna know about the intake so just build it?" You contradict yourself so much that reading your posts are better than going to the comedy club.

Message: The guy doesnt' know which is bigger, 2.05 or 2.08. He doesn't build the engine or know any of the specifics for two reasons, "with me knowing next to nothing about dodges" and "I'm working 12 hours a day 6 and 7 days a week."
Well you don't need to know much about specific makes to build an engine. Once you know the basics the specifics are not that hard to figure out or find out. As for not having time, that's ok, most professional racers don't have the time or get involved in the actual building their own engines but they sure know a whole lot more about them than you do.
That's ok, this guy is digging himself a deep hole on dakotausa too. He seems to have some credibility with the threads he started on the demise of his 4.7 but it is quickly falling apart because of his basic lack of knowlege. That may be all it is, a lack of knowlege.

Message: I don’t even know where to start. My brother has been on my websites on my name. I could kill him I don’t know why he thought he had the right. He’s been home sick this week and I guess he didn’t have anything else better to do with his time but make me look dumb. Kids these days I guess have to brag a little bit about their dads and stuff I know I did when I was young. My dad always had the fastest car in town or so I said. The only thing that’s true about this Dakota is that it is being built with a 408. I don’t have any nitrous and if I did it would be like a 100 shot. If you guys want to know anything else you will have to wait because it is still in the shop and will be for about 3 weeks. I can’t explain how he got on dakotausa.com maybe I forgot to sign out. I don’t know but or computer stays on all day. I know when I get on and go to the forums it automatically signs me on and I don’t know how to fix that. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding but I just had to clear this up because in my spare time I like to get help on these sites. I can’t get help with you guys mad at me. If its me I would know enough to put a capital M on my name.

Message: Quick question about the intake on the heads. I know at KRC they have a set of R/T heads with the 2.02 heads and beehive valve springs, or without, and a set of 2.08 heads with beehive springs or without. Which is better between the four if I want just a street truck with good low end torque but still capable of playing and daily driving?
