i'm not sure exactly what your asking but checking the owners manual will help and if you have the sheet in the glove box with the drive-train info is helpful too. good luck
sublime is differently a good listen and is normal what i listen to when i'm not listening to TooL.

ok i was asking what model of front axle that 3 letter option code translates into. It's going to be either the dana 35 ifs or the dana 44 ifs. From the outside it appears to be the 44 but i am about to up gear and need to be sure.

i don't have the 4wd but i would say its a 35. what do you have in the rear? the diff in the rear is normal bigger and you can use that to judge.

rear axle is a 8 1/4" but this is the only v8 dakota ive ever seen with an 8 1/4. and the cover ont he front isnt shaped too much likea 35. more like a 44

Look on the gear case cover and there will be two tags on the cover held on by the cover bolts. One with the ratio, and one with the axle type.

When was the last time you had an HIV test? I was swapping the rear in my 1993 Dakota with a 9.25" rear and a few weeks later the doctor informed me I was HIV positive and they tracked down the origin to being my axle... Just worried about my fellow dodge peeps

ok you guys are both idiots. First off front axles in 94 up dodgfe trucks dont have tags on the covers and second, HIV form your axle? get a life thats not even funny. comeon you chuckleheads im lookin for a real answer here.

Are you trying to get help or not? You wanted a rear answer and I gave it too you. I did not just guess what it was, I told you how to find out for sure what is was..... I just went out and looked on my dads 03 and it had tags on the front and the back. My 96 2WD has tags on the rear end. Why dont you just go out and look under the truck instead of making stupid excuses.
