If you have a KB or ASE pcm upgrade, and you want to get the HO cams, would you need to get it reprogrammed for a more aggressive cam?

according to kenne-bell I would not need to because I plan on doing the cams. they say because it's a speed density system I won't need to. I'm thinking of converting to a mass-air setup though.
funny when I had a mass air flow car all I wanted was speed density now all I want is mass air.
