Subject: supercharger and mopar PCM IP: Logged
Message: I have the Mopar performance PCM and am going to be buying the powerdyne supercharger. I read that they are not compatable, but I see that some are running the supercharger and PCM combo. What is needed to do this? a boost retard?? Also has anyone used the #9 pully on a '98 5.2? What head gaskets are recomended for this level of boost? the m1 is on its way and I would like to replace the head gaskets as long as I am in there.
thanks,

Message: Nathaniel, Yes...you can run the Mopar PCM but may need some retard (MSD BTM works well for this). This way, you can keep the benefits of the Mopar PCM and only have to retard the timing under boost (make sure you run Super Unleaded though).
On the head gaskets: Felpro 1008, or grab a set of the SCE gaskets that KRC Performance has.
