Message: The real HO manifolds were only found on jeeps or ordered as HO jeep parts. If that manifold came on the Dak, it isn't a real HO - just the newer compromise design; later used on both the HO and regular 4.7 motor. Your manifold is designed for low end torque, while the real HO is disigned for better high rpm power. Many wannabees seem to insist on improperly calling the compromise design HO. The early jeep HO had a distinct manifold.

Message: Scratch that last message I meant to say that it was off a Durango! not dakota. Just checking to make sure it is still the same then. Only if its a jeep is it the real HO right?

Message: Yup, and as for adding power, while the other designs might add a little peak power, what's really important is the power under the curve that we use everyday. People commonly throw around peak #s like that's the most important thing; but its really just the easiest thing to look at. I kept my stock '00 manifold when swapping to the HO cams, wanted to keep more low end power. Didn't seem worthwhile both in $$$s and work to swap manifolds to move power band up a little. HO cams are a worthwhile mod though.
