Message: Thats scary. i wonder if thats just because he ran a 150 shot? i think i remember seeing people say they wouldnt go over a 100 shot because of the 4.7L weird pistons...idk but for the money thats the best mod thats going to give the most power for the least money and not hurt gas...

Might be OK for the track, I like my 360+ ft/lbs of tq of my 4,7, all the time! -I dynoed and did the math.

Message: I use nitrous. Only been through a couple of bottles and no probs yet. Sure is a blast being able to smoke most mustangs with just the few mods i have. The trick is DONT GO CRAZY. Practice some self disipline. Just shoot 50 or 75 maybe 100 at the track. But people seem to get stupid all the time and shoot 150 at every figgin stop light and give nitrous a bad name. Also never use the wot switch to activate. Get a rpm window to activate it. remember the higher the rpm the more nitrous the motor can handle it also stops fuel puddling as see in that earlier post. http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8433&highlight=nitrous
Dont listen to those idiots saying how much better turbo and supercharged cars are way better. It mostly depends on your goals. For 1/4 mile runs i would pick nitrous hands down. For $4500 i could have the motor pulled replace everything with forged parts buy a $600 Direct Port injection kit, reflash computer to retard and shoot 200 hp shots all day long or until i blew the tranny/rearend. I think the paxton kit added only 85hp and 56lbs of torque. 100 shot should add 100 hp and 125-150lbs of torque.

So THAT's what the inside of our intakes look like
I kind of wondered what the COLD spray in the composite intake could do to it anyway, changing temp so fast and all...
And who knows. He could have been LEAN as heck and blown that intake that way.
All it takes is something to go WRONG. Don't matter WHAT engine it is. It could get damaged.
