Subject: fuell millage and speed sensor IP: Logged
Message: I have a 00 with the 4.7 with AT. The speed sensor went out , i bought 1 but i dont know where it goes, HELP!!!! Is there any way to get better fuel millage , with out takeing away from power? I took it to auto zone , and they say it has a vacum leak , on this thing that is on the firewall . I put a flowmaster , then removed the cat. conv. and totaly changed the way it runs , what else can i do to get more out of it?

Message: one of the speed sensors is on the top of the rear end. the best way to get better gas mileage is to drive with a feather foot.
cheap way is to make a home made Cold Air Intake (CAI) and that will cost the price of the filter and some 3" pipping and 30 min of your time. thats time and money well spent.
i would than do H.O. cam swap in, or chip it.
