Subject: Air Cleaner IP: Logged
Message: I had this idea for an air cleaner modification, I did it on another vehicle I had and it seemed to work pretty well. I have a K&N air filter with my stock air cleaner (pipe runs out to behind the grille). What I was thinking of doing is going to a junk yard and getting another air cleaner, removing the snorkel, and then cutting a hole in my air cleaner, opposite the original snorkel, and mounting another snorkel with the tube going to the driver's side inner fender well. Has anyone tried anything like this? It seems like it would work well, and I KNOW I need to get more air to this engine to make it perform. Any suggestions?
Thanks! -Matt

Message: Pretty common practice "back in the day". Take a look at pictures of old drag cars, especially Fords. It works for them. Will you gain an advantage? Hard to say; but it would look cool.
