ive heard the 180 degree thermos. is a better option to go with for a 5.9 r/t. so is a 160 degree to cool of temp?

a 160 is too cool. it will set a code and mileage will decrease. a 180 tstat, some people swear by it. my '00 3.9 didn't like it. mileage went down and no noticeable performance. i removed my clutch fan and even in the heat of summer in the deep south i have never had any problems with the 195. every truck is different so you can try it if you want to. it's kinda like moving the IAT to me. some trucks like and some don't.
