Subject: Headers and Cat

Message:
Hey I have a 2000 with the 4.7. Currently I have a flowmaster 40 series on it and I was wondering if I got headers and removed the cat, how much stuff would it mess up? Does it have all kinds of O2 sensors and what not? Will the dashboard light come on? Will it still run smooth? If I need other parts besides the headers how much will they cost? Thanks for the help

Do you have one cat or three? The biggest restriction is the Y pipe. You'll see a nice gain with headers, and a custom Y pipe. Ditching the cat is illegal but can be done. You would need to run a high flow or buy some o2 simms. You can get the simms from the fastman.com

Nothing flows like a straight pipe
