Message: stevedak, at the track I drop the tire pressure to 20 PSI. Otherwise it stands still and spins. Track is WORSE than the street.
Drooping to 20 PSI it still slips but has forward momentum and then hooks up shortly later. It helps a lot.
Tonight the outside air temp was below 80. Nice and cool, as far as this area goes.
Twice I tried to get into traffic and my truck spun like mad. One time I pulled out of a shopping area onto the main road. Was almost straight and hit the gas. It spun so bad it didn;t stop until my speed caught up with the spinning tire. Around 45 MPH or so.
Normal tire pressure, around 35PSI.
No problems spinning here. Sometimes it does it when I really want to hook up and go!
My truck always spun somewhat even when stock. The HO cams, other imple mods, and then the SuperChips programmer made it all to easy to spin the tires. An occasional chirp into 2nd (auto) is kind of cool too.

Message: GraphiteDak...your tire pressure being 35 lbs. is alot IMO, How long have you had your tires in the back and do you see any center wear on them if you do, you need to drop your tire pressure.
If I had my tires on 35 psi I would stop spinning no matter what! Plus I have abnormal center wear on the rears and so I have to drop them to 27-28 psi and they are fine.

Message: 35 PSI is BELOW my max tire pressure. I think max is 45 PSI. And my truck weighs 5,000 Lbs as it sits. A few more lbs than your RC 2WD me thinks :p
Tire wear is fine. They still look a little squishy at 35 PSI.
At 20 PSI (at the track) they are very squishy.

Message: I run about 28 psi due to no weight in the bed, but the recommended psi is 35, this I guess would be more suitable to you Graphite.

Message: Yup. My tires are 255 65 16's and I think rated 45 or so PSI. So I run down at 35 PSI.
And what does your light weight weigh in at? LOL!
1,000 Lbs less I think. :)
I sometimes WISH I had a 2WD RC with my set up in it. It would be pretty quick I think. Defenitely waste them Hemi Rams like nothing.
I can take them up to 50MPH or so as it is, my 4X4 QC to their 2WD QC. After gear swap I'll be better yet.
