Subject: What are the possibilities? IP: Logged
Message: I just recent got a steal on a '91 Dakota LE Extended Cab V8 5.2 L. I only paid $3000 for the truck. It has 100,000 miles and records of all work done (oil, etc.). What I want to know is where to go from here? I know this truck has potential. I'm just graduating high school and want something that shines, both performance and looks. Where do I start?

Message: Take the money that you would spend on the Dak and invest it in some solid company stocks. Then come retirement time, you'll be glad you did.

Message: What is the deal with people paying so much for a 91? I only paid $900 for mine!!! I also blew the little POS V6 it had in 3 months by running atleast 100mph everytime I got in it.
It now is running a 5.2, this is it's 7th engine. It's only had one V-8, I only spent $3000 total, including a new exaust system, transmission rebuild, and I'm still looking for a new computer for it.

Message: Yeah, do the intake but do the exhuast too. Do them both evenly. Ex. cold air w/ mufflers. Intake manifold w/ headers. Bore throttle body w/Gut cats. Ect. You gain more from doing it evenly. Not just doing one and not the other.

Message: The glass-packs seemed to add a little power, but mainly they just sound cool when I let off the gas at 55 in with the over-drive turned off.
