Subject: GEN II Suspension Upgrade IP: Logged
Message: Hey Everybody,
I have been having problems with alignment, on acceleration in goes right, on decel it goes left. Brought it to the shop and I need to get a steering rack and while we were under it I decided to swap the control arms for DJM, Hotchkis, or Western....
Aint happenin. Nobody has a kit or pieces parts I can combine. At least not what I have found so far.
What are anyones recommendations, who should I call? I want to go coil over in rear with 4 link or something that will give a stiffer suspension.
I called Hotchkis and they don't have anything for a gen II but if I want to upgrade my 06 300c SRT-8 they have a whole kit for $670. This is what made me want to overhaul my Daks suspension.
Help is greatly appreciated like always.

Message: We can get you a nice Western Chassis 2" front/3", 3.5", 4" drop kit with shocks for the Gen II. I ran it myself, very nice. Drop spindles in front with shackles and hangers in the rear. Runs around $650 if I recall.
On the Gen I's, we don't sell the kit but Trailmaster makes a lift kit for the '92 to '96 trucks that you can make work.

Message: I appreciate the feedback Bill, but I think we have decided to go with Qa1 coil overs in the front with new Energy Suspension bushings and an adjustable ladderbar set up in rear with the Qa1 coil over set.
Any know someone that could give tips doing the Ladder bar set up?
My tech is tossing the idea of using a ford nine he has in the shop.
Its nice having my dak as a 2nd vehicle I might have to call her Dakenstein.
