OK, Now that we know the basics of the HO
factory cams. Is there a HO intake manifold.
What are the differences if any?

I know for sure that there is a dfferent part # on the HO intake. As far as what is different about it I do not know. The heads differ from the regular heads also, a chrysler tech here in town says slightly larger exhaust valves. hope this helps!

Book says that the valves are the same size.

CW, would you happen to know what the difference is on the intake is or it just a different part number being that it is on a jeep vehicle?

According to the brochures it is a different design. How much I have no idea. I am tempted to order one, I can get one pretty cheap. I took the risk on the cams before I knew the specs now someone should take the risk on the intake. :) I fear it will be me again.

some differences between 4.7 and 4.7ho is the controller perameters and cooling system.

Alright guys I broke down. As if you couldn't tell by the earlier post. I will order the HO intake manifold and see what the difference is probably bolt it in and do some G-tech runs.:)
I can get the intake for $151 Cnd. Worth a try.
If you want something done right you have to do it your self. lol

I was thinking of getting my maniflod extrude honed, I had a car with one and it made a very nice improvement.
now I will wait to see the effects of he h.o one.
cw can the stock manifold be ported conventionally.

I doubt that it could be extrude honed that takes quite a bit of pressure. I don't know if the regular intake can be ported or not. That is part of the reason that I am ordering the HO manifold. Then I can play with the old one.

I was wondering if the H.O. heads were different castins then those of regular 4.7s. If at all possible I would like to just have my original heads ported and maybe thow in some bigger valves. But, if the H.O. heads have more potential, I'll go for them.

hey cw i cant get this from the dealer that cheap can i? i only get 20% from a friend at napa for a discount. i havent checked pricing yet but i am sure that its way more than that. how do you get things for so cheap?? connection possibly? need a little help. very interested in the manifold. several techs have told me that the intakes for the 4.7's suck the big one... so anything for my baby. shes all i got. and i want her to be a fun ride..... thanks

I am a Chrysler tech that is why I get stuff cheap but that is in Cnd dollars. I have heard them go for $110.

well cw i just ordered it from my dodge dealer and got the intake for 128.00 bucks. i think i did good. hey listen cw, since your "click on my thumbnail" thing doesnt work, why dont you tell me what you have done in regards to your "combo".. i have quite a bit done and expect some sweet gains.. the only thing that i am hoping for is top end...

ok i just got the ho manifold yesterday and stuck it on in 2 hours flat. pretty easy to do. especially with those awesome gaskets. with all of my mods it runs a lot better. i would say roughly 10-15 with the mods i have now. still not a whole lot of time to adjust yet. i am happy with this for 128 bucks, plus now i can toy with my old one. but i would be willing to bet that it wouldnt work very well with someones truck who just had a couple of mods.
