Subject: 4.7 tundra vs. 5.2 IP: Logged
Message: their is this rich punk kid that says his cc 4.7 v8 tundra will take my dak. his is stock, but does have the TRD Prerunner virsion with the Bilstein shocks. should i be worried about him beating me?

Message: 2wd or 4wd, depends on the rear end gearing also. Manual or Auto.

Message: my truck is cc auto with 3.55 open diff. i have a flowmaster throttle body spacer. both of those mods where not very noticable.
his truck 2wd auto cc.

Wait for the replies to THAT post. They will go something like this: (which is my .02)
Throttle Body spacer = ZERO on fuel injected engines. It MAY make the low RPM's a bit more responsive but would in turn HURT upper end at the same time. TB's never post anything on syno's.
And Flowmaster. I have yet to have one do anything for power unless I guess you had a plugged muffler somehow and replaced that with a Flowmaster. I like to run Flowmasters.
I just like the sound.
I'd be curious on the outcome. Post your results if you run his Toyota. Post even if you lose.

Message: My friend in a 04' CC 3.7L 5spd. 3.92s/Suregrip beat one of those 4.7L Tundras, not by a whole lot but when he let out the clutch slowly at 4krpms he took that SOB of the line and I was with him. Funny, but you should take him.

Message: the throttle body spacer wasn't for preformance as much as for mpg. and it help mpg and improved the lower end rev.
